About Us - Home

The Tampa Bay Builders Association is the unified voice of the building industry. We are your neighbors and community leaders working together to provide, homes, jobs, education, and economic opportunities for Tampa Bay’s future.

Building a better community by fulfilling America's dream of home ownership.

The Tampa Bay Builders Association (TBBA) is a trade organization, which works diligently to fulfill its mission by providing important services to enhance the building industry in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. It is affiliated with the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders and dates back to 1946. It currently has approximately 1600 members, making it the third largest association of its type in Florida and 12th in the nation.

The TBBA is a volunteer organization comprised of builders, developers, trade contractors, suppliers, lending institutions, title companies, engineers, attorneys and other types of businesses that have a relationship to the building industry.

Numerous services are provided to members including educational programs/seminars, monthly meetings and networking events, participation in various committees, conventions/trade shows, and insurance programs, among others.

One of the biggest TBBA activities is its Parade of HomesTM, held in the spring and fall. The more prominent is the Spring Parade of HomesTM, the largest in the state: more than 135 new home models are featured by 75 different building companies.

Since government regulations contribute greatly to housing cost, the TBBA devotes substantial resources to help ensure that regulations are reasonable. Permit/impact fees, exactions and the cost of regulations are typically passed on to the new buyer, but the TBBA and its members work diligently to maintain affordable housing.

The TBBA and its members are outstanding community supporters, contributing volunteer expertise and financial resources to many benevolent endeavors, including the Ronald McDonald House, the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to name just a few. Building homes for Habitat for Humanity is another ongoing endeavor, as is the TBBA’s association with the Future Builders of America, a new program to promote the construction industry as a possible career path for Florida’s future leaders.

The Tampa Bay Builders Association: A special treasure for the builders and people of this community.
