TBBA Forms New Commercial Builders Committee

In case you have not already heard, the Tampa Bay Builders Association has formed a new Commercial Builders Council. Rhonda Nelson of King Engineering, Inc. is serving as the Chair of the Council. At this time, the Council is in the process of determining exactly what needs our commercial builders would like to have addressed. Results from a recent survey and opinions from members of the Council indicate that issues related to “Green Building” are a major interest to this sector of the building industry and will be one of the primary focuses of this Council.

Other areas of interest that the Commercial Builders Council may be addressing include impact fees; permitting/inspections, building code/ land use/comprehensive plans/zoning code; insurance requirements (Builders Risk); insurance requirements (Property); and business development (networking, education, etc.).
