TBBA At A Glance
For nearly 70 years, the Tampa Bay Builders Association (TBBA) has been the area's professional association for the building industry serving near 800 member companies in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties. This volunteer organization is comprised of builders, developers, trade contractors, suppliers, lending institutions, title companies, engineers, attorneys and various other types of businesses that have a relationship with the building industry.
FIVE GREAT REASONS TO JOIN TBBA
Membership in the TBBA represents an opportunity to increase the awareness and profitability of your particular business through networking, sponsorships and educational programs, while investing in the future of the building industry.
1: THREE MEMBERSHIPS IN ONE. When you join the TBBA, you automatically become a member of the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
2: As a member of this dynamic group, there are many opportunities to participate in educational programs on a local, regional and national level. These programs teach the latest products and the newest technology in order to better manage and promote your business.
3: Since government regulations contribute greatly to housing costs, TBBA devotes substantial resources to ensure the industry's best interest are represented in Tallahassee, just as the National Association of Home Builders lobbies Washington on our behalf.
4: A TBBA membership opens many doors to new business partners. Share Ideas and build reputations through networking events.
5: Members are entitled to remarkable discounts on products and services used daily. By taking advantage of these benefits, companies put dollars back in their pockets.
GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS
The Tampa Bay Builders Association actively monitors and works with all city and county governments in the region. We lobby local and state government officials on legislation representing the building industry's position on many regulatory issues. Some of these issues are land use, fees, building & development regulations, Hometown Democracy, just to name a few.
The TBBA's Political Action Committees contribute thousands of dollars annually to candidates and ballot measures supportive of our industry's issues and priorities.
